Since you now know about the cruelty inherent whenever animals are used for entertainment, I hope you will take a stand against this abuse by asking that Carson & Barnes perform without animals and will commit to hosting only animal-free circuses in the future.
Animal circuses are fading into the history books because people know that the only way to force wild animals to perform confusing and painful tricks is through violence and intimidation. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is shutting down, and Cole Bros. Circus is no longer touring.
Great park. Well maintained overall, lots of playground equipment, open shelters, pool, baseball and basketball areas, and decent parking. Good location. Bathrooms could be improved.
I was disappointed to learn that you'll be hosting Carson & Barnes Circus, despite its appalling history of animal abuse, which includes using bullhooks--sharp steel-tipped weapons resembling fireplace pokers--and electric prods to hook, jab, and shock elephants into performing as commanded. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has repeatedly cited Carson & Barnes for failing to meet even the bare minimum standards of animal care and public safety prescribed by the federal Animal Welfare Act.
Really nice play ground equipment for the kids. Nice walking trails, lots of shelter for families.
Great park here in Sedalia. Family friendly park with great play equipment for the kids. The ball fields are nice and fun to play on. The pool is very nice and clean! Highly recommend!
