I took my son in to have a rash examined. The doctor took a quick look at him, said it was flea bites and an allergic reaction. I did not like this diagnosis, so the doctor told me to go to a dermatologist where test could be performed. (I chose to trust a medical doctor and not see the dermatologist) My son was sent home with an antibiotic, an itch ointment, and anti-itch oral medicine. One week later and his rash is worse, and he has spread it to two other children that he spent some time with. (at their house) The nurse I called claims he needs to be re-seen and re-diagnosed, but I have to pay for another visit. WHAT? The office manager for the doctor then says, "you have insurance so what does it matter?" (It matters because I pay a lot of money for my insurance. Its not free and your not going to abuse the system.) The nurse on the phone then tells me, "the other boys probably have fleas in their house." (Its just purely ironic that they get the same rash while my son is visiting them) I refuse to give them anymore of our money. Seeking a new doctor this afternoon!
