Dr. Marge Harlan has put her money, time, and heart into positively impacting a still racially divided rural Missouri. Many BLACK people are upset about her building a slave quarters as a controversial draw to her amazing library, but they have not taken the time to visit and learn why it's there. Given a chance visitors will see that the LIBRARY and slave quarters may begin with our country's marred past we so wish had not happened, but continues to build on the strength and perseverance our predecessors (and fellow brothers and sisters) exhibited to accomplish so many goals and help make the USA great!
I liked it. Very small but obviously a labor of love. Next time I'll get there earlier so I can spend more time.
